where are you branches located in new zealand?
We have branches and agencies located in Auckland, Picton and Christchurch so we can cater to every part of your journey in both the North Island and South Island of New Zealand.

do you offer one way hires?
We specialise in 'round trips' and can offer competitive rates because of this, however we do have limited one-way hires available between Christchurch and Auckland.

do i have to pay a deposit when i book a rental vehicle with your company?
No, however your credit card details are required at time of making your booking simply to confirm your booking, however no deposit will be charged to your card.

do you have a cancellation fee?
As part of our customer service policy we try to keep additional fees to a minimum and we appreciate that unexpected changes to travel plans can be experienced (which is why we suggest you obtain travel insurance). Please keep us advised of any changes to your travel plans, as, unfortunately, at times there may be a charge for any late cancellations.

do we need to pay a bond when we collect the rental car?
A Bond is required for all hires and may be left by way of credit card imprint at the time of pick up. This Bond is held until the vehicle is returned and will only be banked if the vehicle is involved in an accident or damaged while on hire, the vehicle is returned not refueled or is returned late.

can I hire car child seats and snow chains from trusty rentals?
Yes. When you hire a vehicle from us, you also have the option of hiring baby seats, child booster seats and snow chains.

what is included in your rental rates?

what happens if i want to change the dates for my vehicle hire?
If you are experiencing any changes to your travel plans we suggest you advise us immediately.

are your rentals vehicles automatic transmission or manual?
We have a range of automatic and manual vehicles. If you have a preferred choice please advise us and we will ensure you receive an appropriate vehicle.

what is the minimum amount of time i can rent a vehicle?
The minimum hire period is 24 hours.

is it safe to use my credit card via your secure payments page?
Yes. We treat the security of your information very seriously. To ensure your security, all credit card transactions are secured by SSL, which encrypts the credit card number so as to make it unavailable to any other party.

i don't normally wear a seatbelt when driving; will this be a problem in new zealand?
New Zealand law states that seatbelts must be worn by ALL occupants of a vehicle at all times, even in the rear seat. Drivers may be given an instant fine of $150.00 if they are not wearing a seat belt.

do I need to carry my drivers licence on me while driving?
Yes, you must carry your licence with you when you're driving in New Zealand. You must have your driver licence or international driving permit with you at all times when you're driving.
